How much does a dental implant cost in KL at Teethos?

A single implant starts from RM6,500 with MegaGen (incl. CBCT scan and zirconia crown), or Straumann RM8,000 nett incl. 3D CBCT scan and zirconia crown. Consultation is charged separately. Bone grafts, sinus lifts and full-arch cases are quoted individually after assessment. Instalment plans are available through bank credit cards.

How long does the dental implant process take?

Most single-tooth implants take about 3 to 9 months from placement to the final crown, because the jawbone needs around 3 to 6 months to bond with the implant. A bone graft adds extra healing time. In suitable cases, a same-day temporary tooth can be fitted.

Does getting a dental implant hurt?

The implant is placed under local anaesthetic, so most people feel pressure rather than sharp pain. Expect some soreness and mild swelling for a few days afterwards. Contact us if pain gets worse after the first week.

Am I suitable for a dental implant?

Most adults with healthy gums and enough jawbone are suitable. Smoking, poorly controlled diabetes, untreated gum disease and heavy grinding need to be reviewed first. Thin bone can often be rebuilt with a graft. Your dentist confirms suitability after an examination and scan.

Is an implant better than a bridge or a denture?

It depends on your teeth and priorities. An implant replaces the tooth without filing down the neighbouring teeth and helps preserve jawbone, but it costs more and takes longer. A bridge is faster with no surgery, and a denture has the lowest upfront cost.

How many visits does a dental implant need?

Most single-tooth implants need around four to six visits: consultation and scan, implant surgery, a healing check, impressions or scan for the crown, and the final crown fitting. An extraction or bone graft adds visits.

How do I look after my dental implant?

Accepted Answer

Brush twice a day, clean around the implant with interdental brushes or floss, and keep up regular check-ups and scaling. If you grind your teeth, a night guard helps protect the implant and crown.
